LASIK Eye Surgery

Lasik (Laser-assisted in Situ Keratomileusis) is known to be a type of refractive surgery for correcting myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. This is usually done by ophthalmologist by using a laser. This surgery is same like the other surgical corrective procedures like photorefractive keratectomy, PRK and ASA (Advanced Surface Ablation) but it provides more benefits such as faster recovery for patients. LASIK and PRK represent the advance technology over radial keratotomy in terms of surgical treatment of vision problems, and the needed alternatives for this are to wear corrective eyeglasses or contact lenses for patients.

There are a lot of anomalies for this treatment but despite of it, this has been the main and most often performed surgery in the US that it was recommended for aviator to undergo such surgery. Aside from that, STAHL Eye Center doctors’ patient outcomes have been independently verified by nonprofit Lasik patient advocacy to meet and even exceed the national norms for Lasik results. That is why there are only fewer than 100 doctors nationwide, that includes Dr. Thierry Hufnagel who have attained the certification to perform this surgery. This surgery has been known to be one of the best in terms of technological break through and in spite of whatever anomalies you may hear. But before considering on having this kind of surgery, you have to consult first because there is a lot of tedious process to follow before you are able to perform this.
